Student Application

We’re excited to offer a limited number of free student passes for CHI-NOG 13, taking place May 27–28, 2026 in Chicago.

CHI-NOG (Chicago Network Operators Group) is a vendor-neutral community of network engineers, operators, and infrastructure professionals focused on sharing real-world operational knowledge, discussing emerging technologies, and fostering collaboration across the industry. Basically, we are the people that run the Internet and other networks.

Our goal with the student program is to help bridge the gap between academia and industry by giving students direct exposure to real-world networking practices, technologies, and professionals. We aim to support students, especially those in the Midwest—in building connections, gaining practical insight, and exploring career paths in network engineering, infrastructure, and Internet operations.

These passes are intended for students currently enrolled in Computer Science, Information Technology, Network Engineering, or related fields who have a strong interest in pursuing a career in this space.
